Masonry Institute of St. Louis Presents an Architectural Seminar

A free seminar and lunch from the Masonry Institute of St. Louis will take place Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016, from noon – 1 p.m.

Energy-Efficient Single-Wythe Design Codes and Standards continue to increase minimum energy-efficiency provisions. Often, this requires continuous insulation on the surface of single-wythe masonry walls. This can adversely impact the cost and durability advantages of single-wythe, especially for supermarkets and low rise box retail buildings.

Join Mark McGinley for an investigation of single-wythe masonry walls that do not rely on prescriptive code requirements, but, rather, act holistically to produce cost effective, energy-efficient buildings.
