Checkmate ToolroomCheckmate Toolroom is designed to keep track of tools, equipment and consumables: who has them, when they were checked out and when they are due back. A barcode is scanned to identify the employee or job, and another is scanned to identify the equipment. Tools may be checked out in bulk, using the Kitting capability; and maintenance and calibration can be tracked using the Maintenance Scheduler. The use of barcode for transactions has proven to be 60 percent faster than manual check out and virtually 100 percent accurate. As an example, Thrasher Basement Systems, a contracting company that specializes in the repair and remodeling of basements and foundations, has saved more than 20 percent on tool costs since installing Checkmate Toolroom.
