Polylok Inc.
Wallingford, Conn.

Masonry Magazine

Polylok Inc.'s Rebar-Lok system for concrete masonry unit wall construction facilitates easy rebar centering. The system eliminates the need to position a lapping rebar every four feet or lift heavy concrete blocks over preinstalled rebars. The Rebar-Lok system features a high-impact polystyrene Dura Wall that houses a built-in bar tie in the perimeter of the frame. During wall construction, the mason simply fits the Rebar-Lok into place. Once the desired height is reached, the mason places the rebar, then pulls the bar tie to engage the system, automatically centering the rebar at the core. He then pours the grout to complete the installation. For more information, visit www.polylok.com.
